On April 1, 2025, Dr. Josef Mayer will take over as Vice President and Managing Director for Research and Development, heading up the entire development division for Fendt. He will succeed Walter Wagner, who will retire at the end of March after more than 36 years at Fendt.

Reported net loss was $(3.42) per share for the quarter, which includes impairment charges and restructuring and business optimization expenses, and adjusted net income(1) was $1.97 per share. These results compare to reported net income of $4.53 per share and adjusted net income(1) of $3.78 per share, for the fourth quarter of 2023. Excluding unfavorable currency translation impacts of 1.8%, net sales in the quarter decreased 22.2% compared to the fourth quarter of 2023.
The innovative FieldDataSync research project funded by the German government has officially started. The aim of this pioneering project with participation of Fendt is to develop a manufacturer-independent, wireless communication solution for agricultural machinery that does not require an internet connection.
In the UK, the agricultural machinery trade fair LAMMA traditionally kicks off the new year. There, Fendt promptly received the first gold medal of the year for the Fendt 600 Vario, which was honoured as "Machine of the Year".
LAMMA 2025 will be the first showing of the new Fendt 600 Vario and will mark the UK launch of the new generation of Fendt Former rakes. The Fendt stand will include the new 920C Former, the Gen 1 600 Vario, and a further selection of tractors including the Gen7 728 Vario. Another LAMMA first will be the chance to see Fendt’s Corus 5275C straw walker which features unique ParaLevel technology.
On Wednesday 6 November, the Fendt team celebrated twice at the Tractor of the Year (TotY) 2025 awards ceremony at the EIMA trade fair in Italy. The Fendt 620 Vario DP won in the newly created category "MidPower Tractor of the Year 2025" and the fully battery-electric Fendt e107 Vario was honoured as "Sustainable Tractor of the Year 2025".
The agricultural sector and the public sector take their obligation to reduce CO2 emissions seriously. After the Fendt e100 V Vario, Fendt is now introducing the standard Fendt e100 Vario tractor. The seventh generation of the Fendt 700 Vario series offers up to 303 hp for various applications, including special equipment. With the newly developed AP CORE 75 engine, the low unladen weight and the optional speed of up to 60 km/h, this 700 becomes an all-rounder in construction and forestry applications. Technical innovations from the large tractors, such as the single-stage VarioDrive transmission or the innovative cooling concept, lead to ground-breaking manoeuvrability in this class.

Agricultural machinery dealer Mechan in Achterveld, Netherlands, is celebrating a 60 year anniversary this year. Mechan has been an official importer of Fendt agricultural machinery since 1964.
On 25 July 2024, the 100,000th Fendt 700 Vario rolled off the production line in Marktoberdorf. This milestone was celebrated at Fendt in Marktoberdorf. For 25 years, the 700 series has been a firm favourite on farms and in contracting businesses. Each of the seven generations has repeatedly impressed with new technical solutions.
Dominic Esser will be appointed as Director, Sales Fendt EME from September 1st, 2024 and will be responsible for Fendt sales in the EME region (Europe & Middle East). He will succeed Christian Erkens.
Fendt has been offering forage solutions from the forage solutions factory in Feucht since 2015. This year saw the 25,000th Fendt product built in Feucht, the Fendt Former two-rotor central delivery rake.
The Fendt Former medium rakes with a working width of 6.90 m to 10 m are mainly used on European farms with in-house mechanisation. The series has now been completely redeveloped. Proven features such as the patented SteerGuard or the double swing arm on the rotor suspension are joined for the first time in this segment by numerous ISOBUS functions such as proConnect with the Fendt flexHigh and myMemory features or Section Control. This means that Fendt can cater for the needs of different farms, from the entry-level model of the two-rotor central delivery rake to professional requirements for ISOBUS and smart control.
Maximum forage quality and easier record keeping thanks to precise recording of weight and moisture from the field: The Fendt Rotana Combi baler-wrapper combinations will be available with professional features such as moisture analysis and weighing function in future. Automated applications are available as Fendt Load-sensing Profi and Fendt TIM Profi solutions.
Fendt tractors often run for many years and hours on farms. They can be equipped with numerous additional functions ex works. There are now a number of retrofit solutions for existing machines to fulfil customer requirements even better.
2024’s Royal Highland Show will be the first chance to see the new Fendt 600 Vario in Scotland. The Fendt stand will include the 620 Profi+, the Gen7 728 Vario, the latest Rogator MY24 self-propelled sprayer and a special gold wrapped 50th anniversary 720 Vario.
