Within the extended Fendt Full-Line range, tractors are historically Fendt's largest and most important product group by a clear margin. As such, healthy advances in tractor development for Fendt will have a major impact on the successful implementation of the 2020 Fendt Strategy.
A home-grown Allgäu lad from a farming background, Walter Wagner completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker at the Kempten University of Applied Sciences before studying Mechanical Engineering with Design. He first joined Fendt on October 1, 1988, as a Designer in the Development department. In 1999, he was appointed Product Division Manager of Development for the Fendt Farmer 200 and 300 series.
Peter-Josef Paffen, Vice President and Chairman of the AGCO/Fendt Management Board said, "The career of our long-time development engineer, Walter Wagner, is an impressive example of the path to leadership at Fendt. We have no doubt that Walter Wagner and his Development team will continue to develop fascinating tractor solutions for Fendt customers, in the digital world especially."
