Fendt is a company with strong roots in the region around Marktoberdorf. This can also be seen in the company’s commitments to society. Since as early as the 1980s, there has been continuous cooperation with the local Wertachtal workshops. The people who work there are unable to work in the regular employment market, due to the nature and severity of their disability. The workshop employees work for Fendt in many different places. They are an integral part of the production area and work in many areas within Fendt, sometimes directly on the Fendt site. What at first was a small local initiative has long since become a commercial cooperation arrangement for all sides – more than 500 different parts are now processed by the workshops for Fendt, primarily in series production, but also for the spare parts division. As a result, the turnover generated by the workshop employees at Fendt has also been growing for years .
We have also made a commitment to societal integration at our Wolfenbüttel location. Here, Fendt cooperates with the Lebenshilfe Braunschweig charity,where since April 2019 people with disabilities have been responsible for maintaining the plant’s gardens.
