Engine and transmission: Superior performance. Perfection in detail

Fendt promises.
High level of constant power: Twin-charging with two turbochargers ensures pure dynamics with fuel-saving driving characteristics. The torque curve is well-rounded in the low speed range, so that more power is already available there. The engine also has a large constant power range.
Engine and transmission: Perfect coordination for the best drive train

Fendt promises.
The tractor regulates the load limit fully automatically and adjusts the engine speed and transmission ratio, thus controlling the reduction in engine load. In this way, the engine and transmission are perfectly coordinated, which means extremely low fuel consumption.
VarioGrip for the right pressure in the tyre

Fendt promises.
An inner tyre pressure of 2.4 bar instead of the usual 1.8 bar on the road shortens driving time by up to three percent, while consuming two percent less diesel.
Fendt promises.
Lively handling through greater dynamics, higher torque and improved power availability. At the same time, intelligent solutions ensure low consumption of both fuel and DEF.
Intelligent tractor: Varioterminal individually adjustable

Fendt promises.
The lighting on the terminal can be automatically adapted to the ambient lighting. In night mode, everything is easy to read, even in the dark.

The press writes.
profi (12/2014)
Terminal and operating elements now have an automatic dimming function.
Intelligent tractor: 800 Vario – perfection in its best form

Fendt promises.
Speed is a must for transport work – exactly the right thing for the new 800 Vario with a top speed of 60 km/h. Dynamic, lively and with a clear design the 800 Vario convinces on the road.
The Fendt 800 Vario in transport test
What was tested?
In the study carried out by the Technical University Munich, a transport unit comprising a Fendt 828 Vario and a Krampe Roadrunner DA 34 trailer was used in the road transport test. The rig was tested in a total of 24 measuring runs on a 33.9 km long stretch with a 440 metre elevation gain.
The test track - total 33.9 km:
Urban | 3.14 km |
Extra-urban | 23.92 km |
Road traffic | 6.84 km |
Elevation gain | 440 m |

Why was it tested?
Amounting to 500 million tonnes, the agricultural transport volume takes 2nd place in the total transport volume in Germany.
This volume will increase in the future through:
- Growing farms and longer distances between the fields
- Centralisation of agricultural trade
- Tractors as central universal vehicle with key significance in transport
Overview of the results: 11.4% fuel saved
Optimisation of tractor for road transport by changing tyres and reducing weight lowers diesel consumption by an average of 11.4% with 2.4% higher payload.
More transport: lower consumption

Fendt promises.
The 800 Vario has a top speed of 60 km/h at an engine speed of only 1,700 rpm, which gives it an up to 16% higher transport capacity* and lower fuel consumption.
*in-house measurement

The press writes.
profi (12/2014)
And that the Fendt is a transport expert is not only apparent in the optionally available 60 km/h top speed. At 40 km/h, the consumption was nearly 20% below the average of all previously measured tractors. At 50 km/h it was also 17% less. And at 60 km/h the measurement results of the competition are missing…
Self-levelling front axle suspension

Fendt promises.
Thanks to the new front axle suspension with exterior spring cylinders and dual-circuit braking system with integral cardan brake, it was possible to increase maximum speed to 60 km/h.

The press writes.
dlz (7/2015)
The front axle with tilted suspension cylinder, together with the cab suspension, ensures good ride comfort. The stability control FSC (optional) locks swing compensation starting at 20 km/h and reduces the rolling motion of the tractor in curves. Additionally, the Reaction steering system ensures straight-ahead driving when the steering wheel is let go.
Fendt promises.
Whether you use your 800 Vario primarily for field work, haulage or special operations – you will profit from its low unladen weight in any case.

The press writes.
dlz (8/2015)
The 828 Vario has a payload of nearly 6.5 t in the 50 km/h version. At 60 km/h it is 2 t less.
Mounting areas: Intelligent technology at the front and rear

Fendt promises.
The electrohydraulic rear linkage, which has a maximum lift capacity of 11,110 daN, guarantees that even heavy rear-mounted implements for this power class can be lifted to the fullest height without trouble.
Mounting areas: More connections

Fendt promises.
The Fendt 800 Vario offers more connections than any other tractor in its power class. Six electrohydraulic double-acting valves at the rear and two in the front. The 800 Vario has more than 24 interfaces.

The press writes.
Macchine Agricole (11/2014)
Excellent is the versatility of the hydraulic system and the countless connections in the cab.
Fendt VariotronicTI: The last turning manoeuvre is as precise as the first

Fendt promises.
In combination with the VarioGuide automated steering system, VariotronicTI automatic enables automatic activation of sequences at the headland.
To optimise the progression of the steps, these can be created at a standstill, so there is no rush. If necessary, operators can adjust and optimise the operating sequence while working.
Fendt promises.
Take your place in the big x5 cab, which offers a generous amount of space and provides exceptional visibility through the large glass areas – a true panoramic view.
x5 cab: Tangible ergonomics

Fendt promises.
The new wiper offers a 300° field of vision. To keep the view to the wheel arches and the front-mounted implement free when it rains, the wiper field has been nearly doubled and reaches all the way down to the bonnet. The windscreen wiper can be adjusted ideally with the intermittent wipe function.

The press writes.
profi (12/2014)
No matter if it is the introduction of the 300° wiper, moving the seat compressor to the outside of the cab or the new terminal with a glass surface and LED backlighting – the designers in Marktoberdorf are always coming up with something that makes driving even more of a pleasure.
Lighting: Superior visibility: even at night

Fendt promises.
The light range of the LED headlights can be adapted to the situation at hand, for example, for driving on the road.

The press writes.
profi (12/2014)
Premium, on the other hand, are the LED lights, even the driving lights (with headlamp levelling).
