The new generation of AGCO Power CORE50 engines offers impressive performance with remarkable fuel efficiency with a cubic capacity of 5.0 litres.

The new generation of AGCO Power CORE50 engines sets new standards in engine technology. With a cubic capacity of 5.0 litres and four cylinders, the engine offers impressive power reserves and maximum fuel efficiency. The CORE engine family is approved for alternative fuels such as HVO in accordance with DIN EN 15940, which makes them particularly environmentally friendly. Thanks to the Fendt iD low-speed concept, the engine operates in a speed range of 800/950 rpm at idling speed and up to 1,900 rpm at nominal speed, resulting in smooth and fuel-efficient operation. The AGCO Power CORE50 engine fulfils the strict EU Stage V, TIER 4 final and LRC emissions regulations. Hydraulic tappets enable automatic valve lash adjustment and help to minimise engine vibration. Overall, it is impressive with its low noise level, low fuel consumption and minimal maintenance requirements.

Efficient cooling concept with demand control and reversible fan
The intelligent cooling concept with a suction fan and an electronic viscous fan clutch ensures that the fan speed is controlled as required and optimises cooling performance by minimising the gap. Each cooler can control the fan separately, which lowers the base speed and reduces fuel consumption. The optional reversible fan function enables independent cleaning of the radiator grille and can be controlled manually or automatically via the terminal. Particularly advantageous in dusty conditions, the integration into the Fendt TI headland management system offers maximum convenience and ensures optimal adjustment of the cooling capacity, high fuel efficiency and minimised radiator contamination.

The Fendt 600 Vario has a maximum engine output of 209 hp. The innovative DP performance-enhancement concept releases up to 15 hp more power when needed. Normally, the power is distributed to consumers such as the PTO, the hydraulics, the fan and the air conditioning. The system detects when components need more power and intelligently provides more power. DP is also used for stationary PTO work (e.g., feeder wagon), for tillage and for slow-speed transport, depending on the active power consumers.

The Fendt 600 Vario sets new standards in its horsepower class with an outstanding payload of 5.8 tonnes. Thanks to its lightweight, extremely stable design and high payload, the Fendt 600 Vario is a safe companion for heavy-duty transport operations and journeys with the appropriate implement combinations. Added to this is the ingenious combination of the Fendt iD low-speed concept and the revolutionary VarioDrive drive. The 40 km/h are already reached at a quiet and fuel-efficient 1,100 rpm, and the 50 km/h at just 1,300 rpm. As a result, the Fendt 600 Vario combines assured transport with particularly high efficiency and outstanding driving comfort.

PTO and hydraulics
The Fendt 600 Vario is a versatile tractor that stands out for its four-speed PTO and hydraulics. The PTO shaft allows the engine power to be transmitted to various implements. This function is crucial for the operation of many agricultural machines and contributes significantly to the flexibility of the tractor. The hydraulic system enables effortless operation and ensures high efficiency in all work. This combination makes the Fendt 600 Vario an indispensable helper.
Four-speed rear PTO
The four-speed rear PTO offers a wide range of applications at 540/540E and 1000/1000E speeds. The connection between the crankshaft and the PTO shaft is via only one gear set, which ensures a high level of efficiency. The PTO shaft stump detection provides additional safety and efficiency. A major advantage is that PTO-driven implements can be operated at a constant speed while simultaneously varying the driving speed. In addition, it is possible to exchange different PTO shafts, which further increases flexibility.
Auto rear PTO
The PTO's automatic functions offer simplified operation and increased efficiency. Switching the rear PTO on and off can be assigned to a button on the control lever and occurs automatically at predefined positions of the power lift. The PTO's shut-off point is controlled by the position of the rear power lift.
Powerful hydraulics
The hydraulic system of the Fendt 600 Vario offers an impressive delivery rate with a choice of 152 l/min or 205 l/min pumps. With a high removable oil quantity of 65 litres, you are well equipped. The use of flat face couplings (FFC) in the front, rear and for Power Beyond ensures leak-free use and lower pressure losses. The integrated parking position in the rear power lift gives you more freedom and better manoeuvrability when towing.

Hydraulic steering axle lock
The automatic steering axle lock automatically locks and unlocks the trailer steering axle at defined speeds. When reversing, the steering axle is always locked. The speed range (0-3 km/h to 10-25 km/h) is activated and set and the hydraulic valve is assigned on the terminal. It is possible to override the automatic system. The steering axle lock makes manoeuvring in turns easier and ensures that the attached implement does not swing out to the side when reversing.

Best possible operator protection with category 4 cab
The Fendt 600 Vario is equipped ex works with a replaceable filter system according to EN15695, which offers protection against dust, liquid pesticides and their vapours. The system works in overpressure mode and can optionally be equipped with a category 4 change filter system ex works for pesticide applications. The Fendt 600 Vario thus fulfils all requirements for the application of pesticides that require a category 4 cab.
Digital bonnet and rear camera
The digital bonnet and rear view cameras offer high-resolution image quality and provide a good view of the front power lift and the implement at the rear. The bonnet camera is integrated into the tractor emblem, while the rear camera is installed in the cab roof next to the vehicle licence plate. These cameras ensure maximum safety by providing a view of the front and rear working area.
Premium driver seat
The new premium driver seat offers the highest level of comfort with numerous adjustment options. It has air suspension, a real leather cover and electric adjustment of the backrest, side bolsters and lumbar support. A massage function, multi-stage seat heating and air conditioning are also available. The memory function stores individual settings that can be operated in the terminal. The seat offers a wide range of adjustment options and maximum driving comfort.

In the UK, the agricultural technology trade fair LAMMA traditionally kicks off the new year. There, Fendt was also promptly awarded the first gold medal of the year for the Fendt 600 Vario, named “Machine of the Year”.
The jury's statement said: “The Fendt 600 Vario series tractors redefine the mid-range tractor market with their combination of advanced technology, operating comfort and efficiency.” The range includes four models (164–224 hp) and features innovations from larger Fendt tractors, tailored to UK and Irish farmers, where 62 per cent of Fendt's sales in 2023 were in the 130–220 hp power range.

At the Agritechnica 2023, Fendt presented the newly developed Fendt 600 Vario series in the 150 to 200 hp power class for the first time. The compact four-cylinder combines high power and payload with a low power-to-weight ratio and exceptional manoeuvrability, as well as smart functions in FendtONE. This means that the machine can be used in a variety of ways on different types of farm in grassland and arable farming, with a front loader on the farmyard or in transport and municipal applications.
With this overall concept, the Fendt 600 Vario also convinced the TOTY jury and was honoured at the EIMA as “MidPower Tractor of the Year 2025”.

Farm Machine Winner 2024
The Farm Machine 2024 prize is awarded in 12 categories and has been awarded every two years at AGRITECHNICA since 1997. The winner in the “Mid-Range Tractors” category is the new Fendt 600 Vario, which also won the “Audience Choice Award” with over 10,000 votes. The jury praised the completely new development of the Fendt series. The Fendt innovation at the exhibition prevailed against high-horsepower tractors, large combine harvesters and full harvesters.
In the field, you can clearly see how the four-wheel drive “pulls” the tractor around the turn. We were able to make a big impact, especially with the use of the rake, so we were able to work the corners cleanly without damaging the sward – great.
The 600 series has an enormous payload. With a unladen weight of 7.7 t and a gross vehicle weight of 13.5 t, a full 5.8 t of payload is possible.
