The first winner in this new category MidPower has convinced the jury with its “technology and innovations as well as its ability to tackle the most complex challenges in agriculture. It offers a powerful and efficient engine designed to operate at low speeds without compromise, advanced performance in hydraulic systems, an intelligent transmission, guaranteed maneuverability an precision in every situation", said the jury, explaining why the Fendt 620 Vario DP received the award.

At Agritechnica 2023, Fendt presented the completely newly developed Fendt 600 Vario series in the 150 to 200 hp power class for the first time. The compact four-cylinder combines high power and payload with a low power-to-weight ratio and exceptional manoeuvrability as well as smart functions in FendtONE. The machine can therefore be used in a variety of ways on different farms in grassland, arable farming, with a front loader on the farm or in the transport and municipal sector.

The second practice-orientated battery-electric series from Fendt, the standard Fendt e107 Vario tractor with 55 kW output and compact dimensions, is predestined for use in vegetable growing, on livestock farms or in the municipal sector. With a battery capacity of 100 kWh, the tractor achieves an operating time of around 4 - 7 hours when used in the partial load range, such as for mechanical weed control or planting work. The Fendt e107 Vario impressed the jury with its sustainable use of energy and resources.

„The Fendt 600 Vario fits perfectly into the newly created category of mid-range tractors. Farmers around the world are impressed by its manoeuvrability, compact size and strong performance. This series also brings technologies from the high-horsepower tractors, such as the low-speed concept and VarioDrive, into the power class up to 200 hp, and thus meets the requirements of innovative businesses,’ says Christoph Gröblinghoff, Chairman of the Fendt Management Board, highlighting the unique positioning. ‘With the Fendt e107 Vario, we are also introducing the electric drive into the standard version. This enables municipalities and farmers to significantly reduce their CO2 footprint while working efficiently and conserving resources.“


About the "Tractor of the Year" award
The "Tractor of the Year" award has been presented once a year since 1998. Since 2006, the awards have alternated between EIMA and Agritechnica. The independent jury consists of 26 journalists from 26 European countries. Since its inception, Fendt tractors have been honoured seven times in the main category "Tractor of the Year", more often than any other award-winning brand.

About EIMA
EIMA International will take place this year from 6 to 10 November in Bologna, Italy. It is an important trade fair for agricultural and horticultural technology and is organised every two years by the Federazione Nazionale Costruttori Macchine per l'Agricoltura (FederUnacoma). The trade fair covers various sectors, including agricultural technology, horticulture, irrigation and renewable energies. Around 1,700 exhibitors from over 42 countries took part in the last EIMA.
