Two AE50 Awards 2024 for Fendt tractors

In mid-February, the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ASABE) always presents the American AE50 Awards. This year, two Fendt tractors were honored with the prestigious award: The Fendt 200 Vario and the new Fendt 600 Vario.

Two AE50 Awards 2024 for Fendt tractors

"AGCO is greatly honored by ASABE's recognition again this year," said Eric Hansotia, AGCO President, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer. "Over the last four years, AGCO and our brands have earned 24 AE50 awards, confirming our position as an AE50 industry leader in innovation and engineering excellence that advances farmers' capabilities, improves their operations and helps them feed the world."

With the two AE50 Awards 2024 for the Fendt 200 and Fendt 600 Vario, Fendt has received 12 AE50 Awards in the last four years. The Fendt 200 Vario was presented to North American customers for the first time in March 2023 during the Commodity Classic trade fair and is already available to order. The maneuverable Fendt 600 Vario was exhibited to the public for the first time at Agritechnica 2023 and will be available in North America from the end of August 2024.

Each year at the ASABE Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference (AETC), the AE50 Award is presented to 50 selected agricultural technology developments or products that demonstrate the highest level of innovation, significant technological advancement and impact on the market served. This year, the conference took place in Louisville, Kentucky (USA), directly before the National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville.

The Fendt 200 Vario combines maximum maneuverability and high performance with a compact size and low weight. The machine has a spacious cab and FendtONE for easy and convenient operation. The innovative Fendt DynamicPerformance extra performance concept increases the performance of the top model Fendt 211 Vario. In North America, the Fendt 209 to Fendt 211 Vario models and the corresponding models of the Fendt 200 V/F/P Vario specialty tractors are available to order.

Fendt 600 Vario

Agile and efficient - Fendt 600 Vario

The completely newly developed Fendt 600 Vario achieves a power range of 164 - 224 hp with the AGCO Power CORE 50 with 4 cylinders and 5 liters displacement. All models in the series feature the Fendt DynamicPerformance (DP) extra performance concept. Depending on the operating conditions, Fendt DynamicPerformance provides up to 15 DP more power. High power and payload with a low power-to-weight ratio, FendtONE and a tire pressure regulation system ex works result in an efficient overall package.

About the AE50 Award

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineering (ASABE) has been honoring the 50 most important agricultural technology innovations once a year since 1984. The ASABE's Agricultural Equipment Technology Conference is usually held in Louisville, Kentucky. Ten of the innovations honored with the AE50 Award are eligible to compete for the Davidson Prize. This prize is awarded to three selected innovations and will be announced this year during the Commodity Classic from February 28 to March 2 in Hourston, USA.
