Fendt brings the future to the field: Fendt SAATEN-UNION field day 2018

It is regarded as the largest European field day of a manufacturer of agricultural machinery and leaves its visitors with an astonishment every single time: The Fendt SAATEN-UNION field day. After the official opening at 9:30 AM, visitors can already look forward to the first highlight at 10:00 AM: the big Fendt Future to the Field machine parade. Afterwards, visitors can discover the Fendt world at Hofgut Wadenbrunn all day long until the event ends with a big honking at 5 PM.

Nowhere is the high performance of Fendt machines more evident than in the field. Fendt tractors and self-propelled machines will prove what lies behind the well-known Fendt quality and power. Among the around 110 Fendt tractors and self-propelled machines, the innovations presented at Agritechnica, such as the Fendt caterpillar tractors, the Fendt Squadra high-performance square baler as well as the large Fendt Tigo multi-purpose vehicles will also be at the event. Visitors can also look forward to new products from the Fendt full-line range, which will be presented to the public for the first time at the field day 2018. In addition to unique world premieres from the new Fendt product range, visitors can look forward to a very special highlight: The machine of the year 2018 and the winner of the renowned Red Dot Design competition, the large combine harvester Fendt IDEAL. On the field day, the new large combine harvester will be presented to a larger audience for the first time and can demonstrate its innovative threshing system live.

An answer to every question, exclusive background information for every subject area - to meet this demand, there are six theme hubs serving as information centres on the 90 hectare site. Here, visitors can find exciting information and presentations by Fendt experts on the latest Fendt machines and technologies. The hubs are arranged according to different product areas. Whether for Fendt crop protection and fodder crop technology or the latest tractor technologies, at the Fendt theme hubs there is something for every visitor and farmer. Of course, the field day motto also applies here: “Future to the Field”. Therefore, the "Fendt Smart Farming" hub is dedicated entirely to digital topics. Digital solutions such as the VarioDoc Pro documentation system will be presented to visitors, simply and comprehensibly. For visitors who want to convince themselves of the harvesting performance, straw quality and overloading capacity of the Fendt IDEAL large combine harvester the "Fendt Performance in Golden Harvesting" theme hub will be the place to be.

Apart from Fendt technology, visitors will be offered a full programme at the field day. In addition to several dozen exhibitors from the agricultural sector, the field day partner SAATEN-UNION will present a variety of new growing products. On show plots, the growers will present what they have to offer against the extreme weather conditions and the increased development of resistance with their expanded portfolio of products. More than 50 different varieties can be inspected in the field. In addition to the intercropping range of SAATEN-UNION, consisting of 20 viterra® blends, variety screening and pure seeds, visitors can also see grain legumes, rape from RAPOOL, sugar beet from the SAATEN-UNION shareholder Strube D&S and 15 different types of corn for silo, grain and biogas use. Whether in the Crop Production Competence Centre or directly on the show plots, seed specialists will be available to answer any upcoming questions.

The Fendt "Field Day 18" app ensures that visitors don't miss a demonstration or show and can plan their field day visit according to their wishes. Equipped with a programme overview, a news ticker, a list of exhibitors, a map and direct navigation, the app helps so that every visitor is always at the right place at the right time and is also optimally provided digitally with information about Fendt machines and technologies. With a little bit of skill and luck, visitors can win instant prizes or machine hours in the two #FENDTastic quizzes on the web, in the app and at the event. A large selection of Fendt products will be on display at the Feldtag Fendt Shop, including selected Wadenbrunn special models.
